The Camera


Plates- a sheet of glass (or metal) that is coated with a sensitized emulsion.


Gamut- a complete range or extent


Viewfinder- a camera part that enables the photographer to determine what will be included in the picture


Pentaprism- reverses images laterally and reflects them to the viewfinder


Aperture- it limits the amount of light that is been passed through a lens


Shutter- a mechanical devise that allows the aperture to open or close so that it doesn't expose film


Exposure- when you allow a photosensitive surface to rays of light


Depth of field- a range of distances through the axis of an instrument object in which it will produce a relatively distinct image


F-Spot- the setting of an adjustable lens aperture in which is shown with an F number


Focal Length- length between the focal point of the lens and vice versa
